What are your plans?

(Hab 2:2 [AMP])

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.

Making plans and setting goals is not a fad or a new year hype, it's also spiritual. One of the things the Lord continually told his people in the form of prophecy was to write of the things to come, so that they anticipate it and be ready. Have you set your goals, plans, and revisited your vision for this year ?

Yes, we have celebrated a new year and we wished each other blessings and wishes which are our heartfelt desires. But many default to counting the passing of days and complaining about situations which are never within their abilities and feel overwhelmed. The question is what have we planned of the things that we can do, that are within our hand. New year is not a beginning on its own unless we make it, it's only the same yesterday and the same tomorrow. However it's a time and chance to sit and navigate our lives, counting our gains and losses going forth, our lessons and experiences, and setting another milestone for our coming days while dusting and sharpening our vision. Isaiah 30:8 says Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever. We spiritual people have visions and desires the Lord has put in our hearts that we desire to fulfill, however we will not wake up in that reality one morning, that end requires a process and that's what we are passing through right now.

Do not let life pass you by complaining and waiting or worse never knowing where you have been and where you are going. Audit your life, see where you have been, are you the father and husband that you desired to be, that woman you admire to be, the minister you wanted to be or are you just flowing with wherever life is taking you? Set your vision, write it so plainly, remind yourself constantly where you are going. Wishes and desires and hopes and even plans will not change us, unless we are open and ready to do so. Excellence is evangelism, so let's use this month of January to really come before the Lord and audit our lives, character, life goals and plans concerning every area of our life. And the Lord does really lighten our darkness as long as we are willing to confront them and not remain ignorant.
